Summary:
Performs initial estimation and pricing of residential construction projects.
Duties:
- Prepares detailed material takeoffs and accurate material costs by reviewing construction documents
- Updates material specifications
- Identifies and projects costs for each elevation and options
- Evaluates all revisions and revises costing changes, additions, and site requirements
- Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by accurately identifying and specifying materials
- Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information.
- Interact with field personnel and client representatives to convey accurate material takeoffs, cost analysis, change orders and value engineering propositions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 Years experience in estimating
- Detailed knowledge of Current Florida Building Codes
- Proficient MS Office Skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Construction Superintendent:
Summary:
Construction Superintendents supervise all on-site construction, including scheduling subcontractors, resolving day-to-day problems on the job site, and inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
- Creates and maintains construction schedules; identifies and solves problems related to maintaining construction schedules.
- Understands the project plans and specifications.
- Solicits sub-contractor bids and manage sub-contractor relationships; including monitoring and controlling performance.
- Creates detailed and accurate estimates for material and labor costs (if applicable).
- Tracks and receives material deliveries; resolving delivery discrepancies.
- Provides daily and weekly progress reports for each project.
- Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
- Prepares schedules and supervises completion of punch lists.
- Maintains an organized and clean job site.
Qualifications:
- A minimum 5 years of experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of residential construction
- A thorough knowledge of all trades involved in residential construction
- Ability to analyze problems and make sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications and costs
- Professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
