Lead preconstruction services and estimate preparation for assigned projects. Provide consultation during project development and offer advice on the selection of materials, building systems and site use. Provide recommendations on construction feasibility, availability of materials, time requirements for installation, and factors related to costs of alternative designs or materials. Provide input, coordination, and problem solving at all stages of design.
This individual will also develop preliminary construction schedules that are integrated with owner-provided services and construction operations; update budgets; interact with Project Executives and safety departments; prepare project budgets related to each section of the work; develop bid packages while managing the overall bidding phase and process; develop construction phasing plans; determine inspection procedures and timing issues.
Manage and lead a team, which could include all oversight of a construction project, including but not limited to: client management, subcontract issuance and management, change orders, schedule updates, monthly reporting, and quality control. Monitors construction activities in conjunction with the assigned project Foreman and Superintendent to ensure project is on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: tracks and maintains project schedule; negotiates change orders; generates scope of work; assists with contract management negotiations; participates in fact finding, root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions associated with injury/incident investigations.
Responsible for the organization and co-ordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
